“too shy to not be a performer”

‘everybody’s in their uniforms, honey, you’re the odd one out’ reflects zina on her debut album opera house. born in portugal, raised in france by a dutch diplomat and a burmese human rights activist, zina has always felt bit out of place.

from training with West-End Musical Theatre and directors from the National Theatre of Strasbourg and the Toneelacademie; to working as a production assistant for Netflix, BBC, Paramount, and Apple TV - all while pursuing Law and International Development studies - zina has always been drawn to songwriting as a visual craft; a medium for political reflection; and personal and fictional storytelling.

building to the release of her debut album opera house, zina has performed a series of concept shows from the bedford (balham) to times square (nyc).

opera house is out january 10th.
